The goal of the City’s
Business Assistance Program is to
proactively work to maintain the economic
vitality of the City of La Crosse, create
good-paying jobs, increase the tax base and
assist in the retention and expansion of
local businesses.
Business Opportunity
The City has been a
major player in the local economy with its
economic development programs and projects
for numerous local companies. The City has
assisted many companies large and small
including: the Trane Company, City Brewery,
Dura-Tech, the People’s Food Co-op, Buzzard
Billy’s, Airborne Data Link and others. The
City was instrumental in the creation of the
Coulee Region Business Center and in
creating three industrial parks that are now
full. The fourth industrial park, the
International Business Park, has sites
available.
